Here We Go Again (White Male Privilege)

A site-specific performance about the privileged position of white people compared to all other people in the world, and the fact that these same white people haven’t got the slightest idea about that.

In Here We Go Again, three highly educated, white West Europeans of almost forty years old respond to a mirror that is held up to their faces, in which they observe the reflections of a dubious past and a complex present, a mirror that is increasingly difficult to ignore.

From their modern office, three colleagues try to define their role in the racism debate. Gradually, they sink further and further into a moral morass, in which fatigue and hypersensitivity are never far away.

Reviews

“An intelligent and beautifully acted play, with a tremendously good newly written text that painfully exposes the privileged position of white people, their naivety and often unintentional racism.”
The Dutch theater jury, (nomination for) Nederlands Theater Festival

”I have rarely seen a socially relevant topic in the theater so cleverly and comically stripped to the core”
Sara van der Kooi (Trouw)
